Nancy Wiebe resigned from the position of Executive Director of Institutional Advancement on Wednesday. The resignation is effective June 30, though cessation of duties is immediate.
Barton Community College recently hosted a celebration honoring members of the All-Kansas Academic Team in the Cavanaugh Room on campus.

Barton Community College has launched the Barton Alumni and Friends Association, a new initiative designed to strengthen connections between graduates, former students, and the community while creating expanded opportunities for engagement, mentorship, and lifelong learning.
The Barton Music Department will host its annual Endowment Concert to raise funds for music student scholarships at 6:30 p.m. May 12 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Barton Community College’s Dean of Academics Dr. Stephanie Joiner has been named a 2026 recipient of the Sunflower Award for Corequisite Innovation, presented by the Kansas Board of Regents.
Barton’s Dance Department will host a celebration of rhythm, passion, and artistic dance in the region with its “Moving in the Heartland” Dance Festival at 7 p.m. April 30 and May 1 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Flexible scheduling is being rolled out as part of Barton’s “Summer Experience” program making it possible for high school students to earn college credit while still enjoying their summer.
Students taking lessons through Barton’s Community Music School will host a recital at 3 p.m. May 9 in the Fine Arts Auditorium in the Fine Arts Building.
