Students pursuing a Sport Management emphasis complete coursework in both physical education and business to prepare them for further study to prepare them for the Sport Management industry. Students are expected to leave the program with the foundations for understanding relevant Sport Management concepts and principles.

Students Preparing to Transfer
Barton Community College's Sports Management curriculum is designed to provide the general education requirement and core courses for students who plan to transfer to a four year-college or university to complete a bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field. In addition to general education courses like Personal and Community Health, we offer electives including Intro to Sports Administration, Rules and Officiating, and Psychology of Sport. Electives must meet the requirements of your transferring institution. Students should coordinate with their advisor for transfer requirements.
