Join us for a concert featuring vocal and instrumental music groups including Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, Choir, and Hilltop Singers. All proceeds go to the Vocal and Instrumental Music Endowment. Tickets will be available for purchase online and at the door. There will be a small fee when purchased online.

Following the Endowment Concert on May 12, the Barton Community College Foundation invites guests to a dessert and wine reception in the Shafer Art Gallery. This reception offers an intimate opportunity to connect with Barton music students, faculty, and fellow supporters. Space is limited and pre-purchase is recommended. Tickets include wine, dessert, and concert admission. The reception is for guests ages 21 and over. Proceeds support the Barton Fine and Performing Arts programs. Tickets will be available for purchase online and at the door. There will be a small fee when purchased online. 

Cyber Camp

Join us for a hands-on cyber camp where students will explore the world of cybersecurity through fun, interactive activities. Campers will decode messages with cipher disks, experiment with a “Pringles Enigma” inspired by WWII code machines, send Morse code using micro:bits, and take on beginner-friendly Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges—all designed to spark curiosity and build digital problem-solving skills. This camp is for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

STEM Forensics Camp

Discover criminal forensics through scientific investigation. Learn new skills, develop critical thinking, and use evidence to solve mock crime scenes. STEM Forensics Camp will be facilitated by workforce experts and passionate educators. This camp is for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

You belong in the spotlight! Join Barton Theatre students in the development, rehearsal, and performance of an original play. Campers will receive instruction from Barton students and faculty in many aspects of theatre including acting, stage direction, and set design. To showcase all they have learned, campers will perform a 1 Act play, written by Barton Theatre instructor Jack Greenwood, on the last day of camp. This camp is for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Cougar Healthcare Discovery Camp

From Curiosity to career, your Healthcare journey starts here: Step into the exciting world of healthcare. This hands-on summer camp introduces middle school aged students to various healthcare professions including phlebotomy, laboratory science, adult healthcare and nursing, and EMS.  This interactive experience is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and inspire future interest in healthcare careers. This camp is for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Community Music School

We have heard and recognized the need for piano instruction in the Barton County area. Starting in Fall 2024, the Music Accompaniment program will be offering piano lessons for ages 6 through 18 in our Community Music School. This is a non-credit program where your child will receive piano instruction by a college student in the music accompaniment program under the supervision of Dr. Alejandro Avila, the Director of Accompaniment, at Barton.

Costs for Lessons per Year/Semester
30 min. weekly lessons (semester lessons - $15/lesson) $400/$210
45 min. weekly lessons (semester lessons - $22.50/lesson) $600/$315
60 min. weekly lessons (semester lessons - $30/lesson) $800/$420

Children aged 3- 12 years who love fairytales will enjoy this camp full of Creative magic lead by the Barton Dance Theatre college dancers. Kids will learn a dance, have an acting class, join in an interactive storytelling session, and more! Activities will be age appropriate as children attend in groups defined by their ages. All proceeds go to fund Barton Dance Theatre students' trip to dance in NYC.
