Barton’s nursing program secondary application deadline is March 1

Barton offers two types of programs for people wanting to enter the field of nursing: Certificate in Practical Nursing (PN) and an Associates in Applied Science Degree in Nursing (ADN), which can help students become an LPN or an RN. Students receive extensive hands-on training as part of Barton’s curriculum.

The nursing program at Barton Community College has announced a secondary deadline accepting student applications for the 22-23 academic year until March 1. Those who applied during the first round of applications will receive priority status. Additional applicants from the secondary deadline will fill seats as available for both the Practical Nursing Certificate and the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing.

Those wishing to apply to the Barton Nursing program can visit nursing.bartonccc.edu.

Barton Community College Licensed Practical Nurse graduates had a 100 percent pass rate for the 2021 cohort on the National Council Licensure Examination and the RN graduates had an 83.3 percent pass rate.
