Barton Performing Arts Faculty to host recital

Faculty members from across the Barton Community College Performing Arts Department will showcase their skills at the second annual Faculty Recital at 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The event will also be broadcast via Facebook.com/bartoncommunitycollege. There will be dance, instrumental and vocal performances.

The concert will include selections from traditional voice and piano repertoire to modern dance and jazz swing music and will feature performances by Dr. Luis Palacios, Danika Bielek, Miller James, Karole Erikson, Jessica Perez, Grant Mathews, Bill Forst, Colvin Hooser and Brandy Brooks.

Director of Instrumental Activities Dr. Luis Palacios said the faculty members are excited to have the chance to take the stage. 

“This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the unique and world-class talent that Barton offers students through the extensive performance experience of our faculty,” he said.
