Barton Community College invites the public to take part in a series of free computer and digital literacy classes offered throughout August, including two new trainings in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Fueled by a desire to be a good role model for her daughter, Barton Community College at Fort Riley graduate Ciara Adamo found everything she needed right on base to embark on her educational journey to become a forensic psychologist.

Barton Community College has announced its list of graduates who earned associate degrees or certificates for career training during the spring semester of 2025.

Barton Community College, in partnership with cybersecurity firm SOFTwarfare and workforce initiative Enterprise KC, recently concluded a cybersecurity camp for middle school students, immersing them in the world of digital security with hands-on activities designed to ignite curiosity and build practical skills.

Motivated to be financially responsible, Russell High School student Maddie Sohm made it her goal to get her associate degree by the time she graduated high school, and this May, she reached her goal by walking across the stage as a college and high school graduate within days of each other.

Students from Barton’s chapter of HOSA (Future Health Professionals) joined about 13,000 students in Nashville, Tennessee earlier this summer at the 2025 International Leadership Conference (ILC), where they competed against students from the U.S. as well as students from Canada, Japan, China, Korea, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
