COVID-19 Safeguards
-
Great Bend: Face Coverings are recommended if you have not been vaccinated and cannot maintain social distancing
-
Manhattan: Participants are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing precautions while attending class at the Kansas Department of Agriculture building
Foundation Seminars
Recommended for scale technicians with less than three years of experience, our two-hour foundation seminars provide a deeper understanding of the presented material and the opportunity to resolve questions before moving on to the general session and scale training.
Seminars meet before the general session and scale certification training and are adapted to each scale category (small, large, or retail computing). Foundation seminars do not replace the general session.
Payment Options
Cost: $100 per module, the foundation seminars will remain at $85. There is no charge for the mandatory general session. Payment will be accepted on the day of training by check or credit card.
If you would like an invoice sent to your company, please request Barton’s third party billing authorization form by emailing Teri Smith at smithte@bartonccc.edu.
Registration fees are subject to change due to legislative changes.
License Inquiries
Please direct licensing inquiries to Sherry Turvey, Public Service Administrator at the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Division of Weights & Measures, (785) 564-6682 or Sherry.turvey@ks.gov.
Retests
Online retesting is no longer available. Technicians who will need to retake the exam will work directly with KDA Division of Weights and Measures to schedule retesting.
