The Barton Community College campus at Fort Riley signed up with the Junior League of the Flint Hills for their annual holiday Adopt-A-Family program. Barton was given a family of five children ranging in age from 19 months to 17-years-old. Each child had a wish list of things they would like to receive for Christmas.
Administrative Assistant to the Dean at Fort Riley Arlette Stratton said she was very pleased with the participation.
“Our staff and students were very generous in their donations,” she said. “It truly does warm the heart of everyone involved to know that we had a hand in making the holiday wishes of these children come true."
