What is WorkFit?
WorkFit is a collaborative effort built upon the strengths of industry, service and education to provide area employers with affordable, innovative, state of the art physical capacity assessments.

What are physical capacity assessments and why are they important?
Increasingly, employers seek ways to decrease workman’s comp claims and address the rising costs of insurance. Physical capacity testing is coming to the light as one of the most affordable and reliable methods of preventing employee injury and related expenses. Physical capacity testing provides objective information to determine an individual’s work abilities as well as the status of their occupational disability. The testing is fully compliant with EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).

Testing parameters include strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, cardiovascular condition and body mechanics in relation to job demands. Results are summarized with recommendations regarding an individual’s ability to:

  • Perform on the job
  • Return to work status
  • Level of functionality

Benefits to Employers:

  • Employee/Job Match
  • Job Retention
  • Reduced Chance of Injury
