The purpose of this video is to show the history of the Barton nursing program and the gravity of the nursing shortage in our local communities. We are not only facing a shortage of clinical nurses but also a shortage of qualified nursing faculty to prepare future nurses. It is our intent to use this video for grant applications which can strenghten the nursing program, for prospective donor resources to augment nursing faculty salaries, and for recruitment of nursing students and future nursing faculty.
