Barton began offering its innovative hybrid online option in 1999. The hybrid online learning approach provides access to students across a wide area of the state of Kansas. The online option was enhanced in 2004 to serve the Kansas City metropolitan area students. By partnering with Cowley and Coffeyville Community Colleges, Barton makes the MLT program available to more students. This design combines web delivery of lecture materials with lab experiences in cooperating medical laboratories. This format appeals to students who cannot commute daily to the Barton campus near Great Bend.
