Medical Laboratory Technicians are the "Diagnostic Detectives" of medicine! They scientifically analyze blood and other samples to gain information that helps the physician confirm wellness, diagnose disease, and monitor the effects of treatment. Lab Professionals look for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms. Anyalyzing fluids for chemical contents, matching blood for transfusions, and drug testing for antibiotics are all in a day's work for a hospital lab tech. Lab techs can prepare specimens for examination, count and differentiate all the different white blood cell types, as well as using and maintaining specialized, sophisticated, automated equipment.
Do you like to learn things that only a small percentage of the population knows about? Large or small laboratories in rural and urban areas need trained laboratory professionals to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the public.
