Barton Offers Certified Medication Aide Course as Hybrid Class
Barton Community College will offer a Certified Medication Aide Hybrid Course in Great Bend and Wilson, Sept. 10 through Nov. 12. The course is one of Barton’s new hybrid courses, which are delivered in the classroom through lecture and supplemented by online components. Students will spend time in the classroom and at a clinical site, and complete the remainder of their coursework online.

Center for Adult Education to Begin Classes
Barton Community College’s Center for Adult Education, 1025 Main, will start new class sessions Aug 25. Classes will be conducted for basic math and reading skills along with preparation for the GED (General Education Development) tests. Morning classes will meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Evening classes will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Students may also choose to study via the Internet in a distance learning program.

Little River coach Shane Cordell didn't plan on coaching in his hometown at this point in his career. He didn't even plan on coming back at all. It just sort of happened But 28 years into a coaching career, Cordell is still at Little River - population 693 - and still coaching girl's basketball, and coaching it well. A win tonight at Peabody-Burns would be Cordell's 500th career victory.
