



To prepare you for the exciting fields of graphic design, Barton offers classes geared toward exploration and learning in art, design, and the latest in computer technology.
Design is an introduction to two-dimensional composition through the study of the elements and principles of design and design element arrangement according to the principles.
Graphic Design is an introduction to visual intelligence and graphic design problem solving. Focus is placed on developing the ability to critically observe all forms of visual communications, as students practice application of fundamental concepts and principles.
Computer Graphics is designed to introduce you to the basics of computer technology and how designers and artists use the computer tool to solve visual problems in graphic design and studio art.
Barton provides students with additional opportunities to learn and use popular software currently utilized in the workplace. Digital Image Editing and Digital Video Editing, Web Site Construction, Vector Image Development, and Animation Authoring introduce you to experiences creating and editing graphics for print, web page or multimedia production. Curriculum and practice covering industry standard software prepares those students striving to achieve ACE Certification, the expert level credentials for Adobe software.
The Computer Graphics Program at Barton will empower you, no matter your age, to learn skills for creative of publications, illustrations, video presentations, and other forms of visual communications.
