"Window Into Eternity"
is presented by Christians in the Visual Arts, is an exhibit of 40 religious icons showing the many variations used by contemporary iconographers within traditional themes. These icons prove that iconography is far from a dead art form relegated to the past. The exhibit examines holy images within both the Christian tradition and the world at large, encourages an understanding of those images and provides an opportunity for many people to see the best iconographers' works.

Molas:
From Eden to Eternity

Molas: From Eden to Eternity" is an exhibit of 32 embroidered panels from the collection of Donna and Mark Moran and Sandra and Bob Bowden. The pieces are seen as delightful interpretations of biblical stories with whimsical treatments and tender insights. Molas are panels of reversed embroidery made by the Cuna Indians and applied to the fronts and backs of Cuna women's clothing. The Cunas live on Caribbean islands known as San Blas off the eastern shores of Panama. Until the 20th century, the people of these islands were virtually untouched by modern civilization. The culture is still primitive and practically self-sustaining. The designs of molas have astonished even sophisticated critics. The ideas originate from a variety of sources including fantasy; animals and birds; flowers, trees and fruit; mythology and religion; Bible stories; objects from the outside mechanized world; advertisements and trademarks; political campaigns and candidates; and geometric or abstract designs.
