Broadway @ Barton is an intensive, two-week, high school musical theatre program.
Who: Current, or soon to be graduating, high school students.
What: A two-week residential summer high school musical theatre program. Participants will earn college credit.

Erin Renard | Program Director, Broadway @ Barton
B.S. & M.S., Fort Hays State University
Erin Renard is the Director of Theatre at Barton Community College with over 30 years experience in the art. She oversees the two-year theatre Associate Degree program, directs musical and non-musical productions and teaches courses in Play Production, Acting, Children’s Theatre, and Makeup for Theatre.
Erin is an original member, actor and writer of the New Jersey/New York educational improvisation company, Good Clean Fun, performing original shows on the east coast both live and for cable television. She has been seen on local television commercials, on TV’s Weird Science, and in Ang Lee’s feature film, Ride With The Devil. She recently co-stared in the short film, Kansas Peaches. She currently serves as a Judge for Wichita Music Theatre Jester Awards and ETA’s Kansas Thespians Conference.
Alex Underwood | Musical Director, Broadway @ Barton
B.S., Sterling College, M.A., Westminster Choir College
Alex is a professional musical director and choir conductor. He received the Young Director Award from the Kansas Choral Directors Association and the Horizon Award from the Kansas Department of Education while serving as choir director at Russell, Kansas school district.
Recently Alex served as Music Director of the Young Performer’s Workshop at Centenary College with A Chorus Line’s Michael Blevins. His theatre experience includes over 30 full scale productions. He performs with Westminster Choir several times a year at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center’s Avery Fischer Hall.
Alex’s professional techniques are in demand as a choral clinician and adjudicator. Broadway @ Barton 2014 will be his sixth collaboration with Theatre Director Erin Renard.
