Cartoonist, author and librarian C. Michael Hall will speak on the subjects of comics, graphic novels, and their educational potential at 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 in the Fine Arts Building, F-30 on the Barton campus.
Hall is co-creator of the “Zombie Diary,” which utilizes the comic book style of illustration and storytelling in an informative manner.
“Even if the reader isn’t a big comics fan, the fun, energy and design aesthetic of the comic book page makes it appealing,” he said. “Information conveyed in comic form seems looser and more informal, which makes students less likely to tune out while reading.”
Each presentation will be approximately one hour long. All presentations are free. For more information on Hall you can go to his website cmichaelhall.com .
