The Barton Community College Foundation Board of Directors welcomed five new members as they assumed their new positions July 1. In addition, the board elected new officers for the 2010-11 academic year.

Elected for three-year terms, the new board members are Dennis Call, Rob Dove, Dee Holman, Doris Spray and Jim Vopat. Three of those members have served in the past and are coming back for new terms. Dove served from 2002 to 2009 and is coming back after just one year of absence. Call served on the board from 1990 to 1996 and Vopat served from 2002 to 2005.

Chris Ringwald, Ellinwood, will serve as board chair for 2010-11. Other officers include Gary Burke, first vice chair; Debbie Niedens, second vice chair; and Sharon Mauler, immediate past chair. Those officers are all of Great Bend.

Foundation Board

Remaining Foundation board members include K.B. Bell, Lana Dietz, Judy Fox, Dr. Tom Greene, Jennifer Lagerman and Chad Premer, all of Great Bend.

Darnell Holopirek, Barton’s Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, facilitates the Board of Directors.
