Barton Community College has announced recipients of the Barton Foundation Memorial Endowment Scholarship for the 2009-10 academic year. The following students, listed by hometown, are recipients of the scholarships:

Anna Freund, a 2009 graduate of Great Bend High School, is a freshman at Barton. Her scholarship is a $1,000 excellence award. In high school, she was active in Kayettes and softball. She is the daughter of Charlotte Meyer and Michael Freund, both of Great Bend.

Karli Henning, a 2009 graduate of GBHS, is a freshman at Barton majoring in education. Her scholarship is a $1,000 excellence award. In high school, she was active in Kayettes, Freshman Mentoring Program, dance and track. She earned membership in the National Honor Society. She served as dance captain for four years and earned letters in dance and track. She is the daughter of Joan and Dale Henning, Great Bend.

Brian Krampe, a 2008 graduate of GBHS, is a sophomore at Barton majoring in general studies. His scholarship is a $1,000 excellence award. In high school, he was active in tennis, band and German Club. He is the son of Lynn and Susan Krampe, Great Bend.

Joann Stacey, a 2009 graduate of GBHS, is a freshman at Barton majoring in English. Her scholarship is a $1,000 excellence award. In high school, she was active in A Cappella Choir, Madrigal Pops Singers and Kayettes. She earned membership in the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Kathleen and Eric Stacey, Great Bend.

ReBecca Myers, a 2008 graduate of GBHS, is a sophomore at Barton majoring in photography. Her scholarship is a $1,000 excellence award. In high school, she was active in yearbook, Desktop, forensics, Kansas Association for Youth, dance team, volleyball and Miss Midway. She earned Red and White Honors and state forensics and journalism honors. At Barton, she also has a photography scholarship. She is the daughter of Larry and Karen Myers, Kinsley.
