She is the daughter of Nancy Johnson and Jack Cooper.

Marcuson, Oberlin, is a graduate of Decatur Community High School. At Barton, he is a Student Ambassador and serves as Student Senate vice president. He also is a member of Hilltop Singers. A political science major, he plans to continue his education at Kansas State University. He is the son of Brad and Elaine Marcuson and the grandson of Gail and Kay Marcuson, all of Oberlin.

As part of Barton’s 40th anniversary celebration, the college’s 2010 homecoming had a 1970s theme. Those attending were encouraged to dress in 1970s fashion. Crowning the King and Queen was Barton’s 1972 homecoming queen, Corrine Hartig Boor, Hoisington, who was escorted by Barton’s mascot, Bart.

Honored as homecoming finalists were Amie Neal, Wichita; Ethan Deckert, Larned; Kayla Simmons, Great Bend; Dennan Morrow, Larned; Kelsey McGuire, Ottumwa, Iowa; Colin Beatty, Lanham, Md.; Annie Kassongo, Geneva, Switzerland; Charles Santy, Fort Hood, Texas.
