Barton Community College and the Kansas Section of NACE International will present the 25th annual NACE Corrosion Control Seminar Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 3 and 4, at the Midwest Utility and Pipeline Training Center and Barton’s Fine Arts Building.
Professionals representing utility companies, municipalities, transmission companies, pipeline and corrosion contractors and others in the oil and gas field are encouraged to attend this seminar.
Registration is scheduled from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Feb. 3 in Barton’s Fine Arts Building Lobby. The seminar offers two levels of instruction. Track I provides basic cathodic protection instruction and testing. Track II offers professional speakers on corrosion-related topics and problems.
Sessions will feature presentations on corrosion-related topics and problems. Exhibitors will give participants an opportunity to see new materials, equipment, techniques and services in the field of cathodic protection. An Exhibitor Barbecue and Social is set from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 3 in the Best Western Angus Inn Courtyard.
In addition to the annual seminar, a Basic Cathodic Protection Rectifier Training for entry-level corrosion personnel will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the Midwest Utility and Pipeline Training Center with registration from 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Prepaid registration fee for Track I or Track II is $169 if received by Jan. 15. All other registrations after Jan. 15 are $189. Fees include one college credit, refreshments, lunches, materials, vendor social and a NACE cap.
For the Basic Cathodic Protection Rectifier Training and Track I or II, the fee is $254 if received by Jan. 15. After Jan. 15, the fee for all three courses is $274. The fee for Basic Cathodic Protection Rectifier Training only is $95.
