Dana Weber has always been interested in biology, but she first started thinking about a medical laboratory career in the mid 1970s as a student at Great Bend High School when she attended a career fair. That was the first time she met Leonard Bunselmeyer, then a medical technologist at Central Kansas Medical Center. His talk about hospital lab work made a distinct impression on her and helped put her on the path to a career as a medical lab technician.

The Rev. Dennis and Ladonna Wallace, Wichita, met while both were students at Barton Community College almost 40 years ago. They have been married for 36 years because of a chance meeting in a class at Barton in the fall of 1971.

Eric Degenhardt and Danielle Reisner, feted as Barton Community College’s 2009 Outstanding Graduates, were not only honored during the College’s 39th commencement ceremony May 14. They also were on the commencement program to give the keynote addresses.
