The theory behind Barton County Community College’s Art Program is a simple one — foster your creativity by developing an awareness of the visual arts. We guide and challenge you to develop your unique artistic abilities and personal style. You’ll be exposed to two- and three-dimensional art in a variety of media and styles. To do this, we stress a solid foundation in design principles and technical skills, preparing you to pursue a career right after Barton, enter a university art program or enroll in a professional art school.
The demand for creative minds in our society is greater than ever, and the notion that a career in art leads only to teaching is a thing of the past. There is a place for a creative individual like you.
